Dubai United Arab Emirates
Arada, a UAE-based real estate developer, has expanded its portfolio to five markets, with the entry of Saudi Arabia and Syria during 2026, and the further development of its business in Britain and Australia, in parallel with the launch of projects in Dubai and the announcement of its first presence in real estate development in Abu Dhabi.
According to the review of the "Masdar Real Estate" platform for official announcements of the company, the portfolio includes more than 70 thousand housing units in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Britain and Australia, while it completed about 17 thousand units until the announcement of the establishment of its Saudi arm on October 20, 2026.
The expansions include integrated residential communities and mixed-use projects, in addition to residential towers, hospitality and shared housing, and are distributed between announced projects, planning requests and development approvals, according to the stage specified for each project.
Saudi Arabia: 3500 villas and townhouses in Riyadh
Saudi Arabia represents the latest market for Arada’s announced expansion, having established Arada KSA in partnership with XTOPIA, which specializes in developing multi-use communities and destinations.
The partnership allows the new company to access a land portfolio of 10 million square meters in Riyadh, Jeddah and Mecca, with a total value of approximately $13.33 billion (SR 50 billion).
The company’s first project is a residential community in the Rimal neighborhood northeast of Riyadh, worth about $3.73 billion (14 billion Saudi riyals), which extends over an area of approximately 2.5 million square meters, and includes about 3,500 villas and townhouses.
The plan includes the planting of 100 thousand trees, a school, commercial and sports facilities and a community center, with the aim of starting sales and construction work during 2027. The project will be funded through an investment structure regulated by the Saudi Capital Market Authority, managed by a licensed financial company.
Syria: An integrated project worth $7 billion
On September 1, 2026, Arada announced the entry of the Syrian market through a partnership with the Syrian Sovereign Fund to develop a mixed-use project in the New Damascus area near Mezzeh, west of the capital, with an estimated development value of $7 billion (25.7 billion dirhams).
The project extends in the Syrian capital Damascus on an area of four million square meters, and includes about 11 thousand housing units, ranging from apartments, villas, townhouses and units with brands, in addition to 500 hotel rooms and a thousand serviced apartments.
The plan includes a public park with an area of 700 thousand square meters, educational facilities that accommodate 5,000 students, a hospital with a capacity of 300 beds, as well as offices, commercial spaces and service and recreational facilities.
According to the company’s announcement, the capital master plan will be developed in cooperation with the concerned Syrian government agencies, while the two parties are working to identify additional sites for development in the country.
