The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities in Iraq announced the mechanism of distributing one million residential plots among the beneficiaries, stressing the adoption of a system of trade-offs and electronic auditing to ensure justice, transparency and prevent manipulation of distribution results.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Construction, Nabil Al-Saffar, said that "the development of controls on the distribution of one million residential plots falls within the tasks of a sub-committee headed by the Chairman of the Board of Advisors, and the membership of the Director of the Center for Digital Transformation, and representatives of the concerned authorities in the ministries of interior and justice, represented by the departments of real estate registration, and planning, represented by the Statistics and Geographic Information Systems Authority, as well as the Secretariat of Baghdad and a representative of each province."
He added that "the committee is responsible for setting the controls of the distribution mechanism and identifying the categories covered and eligible, in addition to the preparation of a system of trade-offs that ensures fairness and transparency in the distribution of residential land, and the establishment of a mechanism to receive citizens' requests through an electronic platform at the level of provinces, districts and districts," according to the Iraqi News Agency.
